RAYNE TOWNSHIP: A vehicle driven by George R. Deabenderfer, 50, of Commodore, slid on the icy road into the path of a vehicle driven by Sara Amsdell, 32, of Clymer, around 4:30 a.m. today on Route 286 near Allen Bridge Road, state police in Indiana reported. Deabenderfer suffered minor injuries and was transported to a hospital by ambulance; Amsdell was flown from the scene by medical helicopter with what police said were major injuries, according to reports.
