3-D Printing Workshop
The Indiana Free Library will hold a two-night event to explore the world of 3-D printing.
While 3-D printing for the masses is in its infancy, it is steadily working its way into public consciousness one newspaper article or TV special at a time. While the term 3-D printing may be familiar to some, the process and its many uses remain a mystery to most.
This workshop will introduce participants to foundations of 3-D printing, including what 3-D printing is, what its uses are and how it works. Participants will also be introduced to simple online software to design a 3-D object and have the opportunity to print it. No 3-D printing experience is necessary.
Doors will open at 6:30 p.m.; the program will begin at 7 p.m. on March 24 and 31 at the library along Philadelphia Street in downtown Indiana. This program is free and open to anyone interested in learning more about 3-D printing.
