Glade Run events :: DAYTON -- The following events will be held this weekend at Dayton Glade Run Presbyterian Church, 2534 Dayton Smicksburg Road:

Hymn sing

PENN RUN -- The Indiana/Cambria County Hymn Sing will be at Maple Grove Church of God in Penn Run from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday. Everyone is welcome. For more information, call (814) 344-6681.

Meditation master to visit

Karma Thegsum Choling (Tibetan Buddhist Church) welcomes Tibetan Monk and master of meditation Khenpo Karthar Rinpoche, who will present a series of lectures on Tibetan Buddhist techniques today and Sunday at the Co-Op College Lodge, 239 College Lodge Road, White Township.

Khenpo Rinpoche will lecture on "The Four Immeasurables" from 3:30 to 5 p.m. today and 10:30 a.m. to noon Sunday.

The weekend ends with the Refuge Vow and Chenrezig Empowerment ceremonies at 4 p.m. Sunday.

The potluck is free and open to the public. To attend, bring a vegetarian dish to share and register at registration@indianacountyktc.org.

General admission is $15 per session and $10 for I-card holders and seniors or for all sessions, $40 general admission and $25 for I-card holders and seniors. The Refuge Vow and Chenrezig Empowerment ceremonies costs $15. Tickets will be sold at door, or to register, contact registration@indianacountyktc.org.

The events are sponsored by Karma Thegsum Choling and the IUP student organization Friends of Himalayan Buddhism and supported by the IUP Mindfulness Meditation Living and Learning Community.

Chicken and holupki dinner

CLYMER -- A chicken and holupki dinner will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday at St. Michael's Orthodox Church, 465 Morris St., Clymer.

The cost is $10 for adults and $5 for children ages 4 to 12. Takeout is available. Everyone is welcome to attend.

Mass with prayers, blessings

The Rev. William Kiel, pastor at St. Bernard of Clairvaux Church, White Township, will celebrate a Mass with prayers and blessings for healing at 2 p.m. Sunday at the church.

Live Christian music

BLAIRSVILLE -- Tuesday Nights with Friends, an evening of live Christian music, is presented from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesdays at What's Brewing, 39 W. Market St., Blairsville.

The lineup for March is: Tuesday, Servants Call; March 19, Chris Mowery; and March 26, Aubrey. Food and drink is available for purchase. A free-will offering is appreciated. The night is sponsored by First Hope Ministries, comprised of Blairsville First and Hopewell United Methodist churches.

Lenten services

Zion Lutheran Church will sponsor a series of Lenten organ recitals and prayer at 12:10 p.m. Tuesdays during Lent in the church sanctuary, corner of South Sixth and Church streets, Indiana. Each Tuesday's schedule is designed to accommodate workers who have a noontime lunch hour.

Following each recital, a soup luncheon will be served in the fellowship hall without charge, but proceeds from any donations will benefit the Zion Community Food Pantry, which serves Indiana and the surrounding area on a regular schedule each month.

Zion will also celebrate Holy Communion at 12:10 p.m. Wednesdays during Lent. All are welcome.
