NEW FLORENCE — The youth group of the Germany United Methodist Church, New Florence, is holding its annual spaghetti dinner from 4 to 6 p.m. today in the church basement social hall.
The dinner includes a generous portion of spaghetti with your choice of homemade meat sauce or meat and mushroom sauce, salad, roll and butter, dessert and a choice of beverages. Takeout is available.
The cost is a free-will donation with all proceeds benefiting the Germany United Methodist Church youth group. Everyone is welcome to attend. The church is located on Route 259 between the Route 22 interchange and the village of Robinson near Mulligan Hill Road.
Gospel music festival
ARMAGH — A gospel music festival will be held from 1 to 10 p.m. today at the Armagh United Methodist Church.
Featured performers today are The Choraliers & Pearl, Clowns For Jesus, Brenda Mishler, Heaven 4 Shore, The Masters, Randy Simpson, Dwayne Kaufman and Diane Myers. The kitchen will be open from noon until 8 p.m.
The menu features hamburgers, hot dogs, haluski, stromboli, pizza, dessert, pop and water. A free-will offering will be accepted. Everyone is welcome to attend.
New ministers commissioned
Graystone Presbyterian Church, 640 Church St., Indiana, will be commissioning a new Stephen Ministry team Sunday.
New ministers are Renea Isenberg, Michelle Yearick, Bertilla Thompson, Janet Stewart and Kate Farren. The ministry program at Graystone is celebrating 10 years. The ministry equips members to provide confidential one-on-one Christian care to individuals in the congregation and community experiencing difficulty in their lives.
Roast beef/holupki dinner
A roast beef and holupki dinner will be held from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Sunday at Christ Our Savior Orthodox Church, corner of Tanoma Road and 286 East, Rayne Township.
The cost of the dinner is $10 for adults, $3 for children ages 5 to 12 and free for children 4and younger. Everyone is welcome, and a fast takeout line is available.
GARMANTOWN — The Indiana/Cambria County Hymn Sing will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the Garman Church of God, Garmantown. Everyone is welcome.
Church hosting seminar

Children’s choir to perform
The Watoto Children’s Choir will perform at 6:30 p.m. May 26 at Graystone Presbyterian Church, 640 Church St., Indiana.
ALVERDA — Missions Around the World, 11076 Route 553 in Alverda, is holding a special celebration May 23 through May 26 to celebrate seven years at its location.
Thursday and Friday services begin at 7 p.m. The speaker will be Chalma Quarles, of West Virginia.
Family and Friends Day will begin at noon May 25 with a covered dish picnic lunch, followed by games, fishing, prizes, activities, fun and fellowship. The Teen Challenge Choir will sing and share testimonies at 6:30 p.m., followed by a hot dog roast.
A service will be held at 10 a.m. May 26 with the Teen Challenge Choir. A dedication service will be held at 2:30 p.m. with the Rev. Glenn Garland, of Virginia. He will also minister at 6:30 p.m.

HOME — The Washington Presbyterian Church will hold a Southern-style dinner from 1 to 6 p.m. May 25 at the church, Washington Church Road, next to the intersection of Routes 119 and 85, Home.
The menu includes barbecue pulled pork sandwiches, cole slaw, baked beans, cake and beverages. Eat in or take out. Proceeds benefit the Old Washington Cemetery and the Washington Church General Mission Fund.
Igo to perform
ALVERDA — Country gospel singer Joyce Igo will be performing at 6 p.m. June 1 at the Alverda Faith Tabernacle. Everyone is invited to attend. Please bring a covered dish to share after the service.
Indoor yard sale
PENN RUN — An indoor yard sale will be held from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. June 1 at the Penn Run Christian Outreach Center, 75 Grace Church Road, Penn Run.
Among the things for sale are clothing, toys, household items, baked goods and more. Lunch will be served and representatives from Avon and other companies will be in attendance.

CHERRY TREE — The Lighthouse, Morning Star Ministries, will hold a gigantic yard sale from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. June 1 at the church, located at 4886 Route 240, between Uniontown and Cookport.
The yard sale will have many great items, including clothing, electronics, Christmas decorations, household items and more. A bake sale and car wash will also be held.
The concession stand will be open and selling hot dogs, hamburgers, soup and more.
There is also a large playground on site for the children to enjoy. All proceeds go to the Mexico missions: the church is sending a team of 10 in October to a boys’ ranch in Monterrey, Mexico, to help with the construction of a medical center. The team will also minister to the poor and needy on the streets with food and medical supplies.
All monetary donations are tax deductible. Checks should be payable to Morning Star Ministries Missions.
Friday Night Light
PENN RUN — Friday Night Light will be held at 7 p.m. June 7 at the Penn Run Christian Outreach Center, 75 Grace Center Road, Penn Run.
The event will be held outdoors under the pavilion, weather permitting, with a campfire. Bring lawn chairs and campfire snacks. There will be games and activities. The event is sponsored by Harmony Presbyterian Church, Maple Grove Church of God, Penn Run Wesleyan, Kenwood Church of the Nazarene and Penn Run Church of the Brethren. Everyone is welcome to attend.
