Soup lunch

The Grove Chapel Lutheran Church Women are sponsoring a soup lunch from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday at the church, near Musser’s Nursery. The menu includes vegetable beef soup, dessert and a beverage.

The cost is a free-will offering. Takeouts are available, but bring your own soup container. Proceeds benefit church improvements. For more information, call (724) 464-0697.

Yard sale

HOMER CITY — The annual Homer City United Presbyterian Church yard sale will be held from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Oct. 4 and 5 at the church, 40 E. Elm St.

Ham loaves will be sold both days. Baked goods will only be sold Oct. 5.

 

Fall Fellowship and Tent Revival

BROCKWAY — The First Apostles’ Doctrine Church Fall Fellowship and Tent Revival will be held Oct. 4 to 6 just north of the Horton Township buildings, Route 219, Brockway. All are welcome. The schedule follows:

• Friday

6 p.m. — Music

6:30 p.m. — Revival service with Bishop Jack Wisor

• Saturday, Oct. 5

Noon to 2 p.m. — Salvation Chart, teaching by Bishop Jack Wisor

2 to 4 p.m. — Softball, horseback rides, horseshoes and more

4 to 6 p.m. — Barbecue and covered-dish picnic (bring something to share)

6 p.m. — Music

6:30 p.m. — Revival service with Bishop Jack Wisor

• Sunday, Oct. 6

10:40 a.m. — Sunday service

1 to 6 p.m. — Softball, horseback rides, horseshoes, fellowship and more

2 to 4 p.m. — Covered-dish picnic (bring something to share)

Love offerings go to the poor, homeless and needy in the community and surrounding areas.

Mission breakfast

Enjoy a breakfast and meet and greet Christobel Russelliah, Gilgal Gospel Mission founder, from 10 to 11 a.m. Oct. 5 at Sovereign Grace Church, 921 Hospital Road, White Township.

She will share 40 years of preaching Christ and planting churches. God called the Russelliah family from a wealthy city church to one of the world’s most challenging mission fields — India’s remote villages.

Pasta buffet

PENN RUN — A pasta buffet will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Oct. 5 at the Penn Run Christian Outreach Center, 75 Grace Church Road. The cost is $8 for adults and $6 for children ages 3 to 11.

The menu includes spaghetti, penne, meatballs in sauce, sausage in Alfredo sauce, stuffed shells, California blend vegetables, salad, bread and desserts. For more information, call (724) 463-0420.

Spaghetti dinners

SAGAMORE — A spaghetti dinner will be held from 3 to 6 p.m. Oct. 5 at the Community Bible Church of Sagamore. The menu includes spaghetti, salad, bread, dessert and drinks. Takeouts are available. The cost is $7 for adults, $3.50 for children ages 5 to 12 and free for ages 4 and younger.
