POLKA JAM: The Bell Township Historical Society will host a polka jam starting at 4 p.m. Oct. 12, at Guy’s Tavern, Westmoreland Avenue, Avonmore.

IN THE GARDEN: The Indiana Community Garden will be at the Indiana farmers market along with Cozy Corner Restaurant making salsa using produce from the gardens from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday.
There will also be food demonstration at the Indiana Community Garden, Mack Park, using produce from the gardens at 1 p.m. Saturday. An open meeting will then be held from 10 to 11 a.m. Oct. 19 at the Indiana Community Garden. Members of the community are encouraged to attend to learn more about the garden and to become involved.
RUMMAGE SALE: A rummage sale will be held from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Oct. 3 and 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Oct. 4 at the First Christian Church, Indiana.
PINK OUT: In coming weeks, the Indiana community will have the opportunity to participate in the annual “Pink Out” events in support of Breast Cancer Awareness. The Indiana Area Senior High School “Pink Out” football game will be held at 7 p.m. Oct. 18. Be sure to check for other activities in town to support the cause. All proceeds go to Breast Cancer Awareness.
VENDOR SHOW: Mothers of Preschoolers of Indiana is hosting a vendor show event from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Nov. 30 at The Summit Church, 2707 West Pike, White Township. Tables and electric hook-up are available.
