Garden club celebrating Day of the Dead
The Indiana Community Garden at Mack Park will celebrate "Dia de los Muertos", the Day of the Dead, Thursday, October 31, at 4:30 pm.
The Mexican holiday honors family members and friends who have died and has become popular around the world. Participants will join together to build an altar at the garden pavilion at 4:30 pm and are encouraged to bring offerings of flowers and produce.
Flower donations will be sent to local nursing homes and produce will be donated to local food banks. Hot chocolate as well as Mexican bread from Six Hand Bakery will be served.
