Indiana historical society to put value on old items

on April 22, 2013 11:00 AM

Have old stuff? Curious to know what it might be worth? Then bring it to the Indiana County Historical and Genealogical Society’s Old Stuff, What’s it Worth? event from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. May 11. Several people knowledgeable in antiques will be available to evaluate your treasures and estimate what they may be worth if you choose to sell them some day. So dust off that vase, painting or antique, and have fun learning about your old stuff.

Registration is encouraged. Cost is $5 per item for those registered or $10 per item at the door.

Limit two items. Spectators of all ages are welcome at no cost.

Call the historical society at (724) 463-9600 or send an email to ichistoricalsociety@gmail.com to register.

Appraisers will give an official statement of worth at extra cost. Neither the historical society nor the appraisers involved will be purchasing items.
