A picnic in the Oak Grove, open to the public, will be from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. on the IUP campus, with Aramark selling picnic food. There will be no rain date.

A Tadpole’s Tale, an outdoor explorers program, will be held from 8 to 8:30 p.m. at Yellow Creek State Park’s Environmental Learning Classroom. The program is for children ages 6 to 8, and they must be accompanied by an adult. Students will be introduced to the world of frogs through the story, “A Tadpoles Tale.”

This story will teach students how they change from tadpoles to frogs in the habitats they call home.

Frogs and Toads, an outdoor explorers program, will be held from 8:30 to 10 p.m. at Yellow Creek State Park’s Environmental Learning Classroom. The program is for children 6 to 8, and they must be accompanied by an adult. Mike Shaffer, the park naturalist, will be teaching about the frogs and toads of Pennsylvania. Save the Puppy 2014 will be held at 8 p.m. at the Indiana Theater. Coastal Remedy and Bernie Worrell will perform. All proceeds will benefit the Indiana County Humane Society. Tickets are $15 per person.

July 26

The Indiana County Farmers’ Market sells local fruits and vegetables, baked goods and potted plants from 8 a.m. to noon at Eighth and Church streets in Indiana. There will be live music, local chefs and community booths.

The Run With the Deer Flies 25K and 15K Trail Run will be at 8 a.m. at Seph Mack Boy Camp, 1966 South Harmony Road, Penn Run.
