Library offering free gardening programs

Learn tips and techniques that you can use in your garden now during four free programs presented by Penn State Master Gardeners, each at 1 p.m. in the Indiana Free Library’s community room.

The programs are:

• Tuesday: “Pruning” by Charlie Venturella, who will cover what, when, where and how to prune in the fall for beautiful year-long results.

• Oct. 2: “Growing Garlic” by Join Jim Woodard. Learn the best methods of planting and growing this delicious bulb.

• Oct, 9: “All About Herbs” by Sue Weiland, who will discuss growing, harvesting, drying and the 12 most popular herbs.

• Oct. 15: “Raised Bed Gardening” by Larry DeChurch will cover the ins and outs of successful raised bed gardening, with emphasis on what to do this time of year.
