Manure workshop set for March 26

Pennsylvania’s current agricultural environmental regulations require every farm, regardless of size, that produces or applies manure to develop and implement a written manure management plan.

The Indiana County Conservation District is hosting a workshop to educate and assist farmers in writing a plan for their farm. The workshop will be held from 9 a.m. to noon on March 26 at the ICCD Office, 625 Kolter Drive, White Township. The workshop will be limited to a small group to allow for hands-on assistance in plan development. Farmers can expect to leave the workshop with a nearly complete plan or at least a good understanding of what is required. Registration is required as space is limited.
