SPAGHETTI DINNER: The Interact Club at Ligonier Valley High School will host a spaghetti dinner from 4:30 to 7 p.m. May 30 at the Ligonier Town Hall Community Room. The cost is $7 for adults and $4 for children 8 and younger. Spaghetti with the choice of meat or marinara sauce, bread with butter, salad, desserts and drinks will be included.

 

REUNION: Descendents of L.T. and Mary Anthony and the Anderson brothers John, Peter and Andrew are invited to meet at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at Gimmick’s Restaurant, Elk Run/Punxsutawney. Do not go to the Frostburg Community Center. Call (814) 591-2107 with any questions.

 

MEETING: Brush Valley Senior Citizens will meet at noon on June 4 at the Brush Valley Fire Hall for a regular meeting. Please bring items or memories of your father to share with the group. Don’t forget food items or dessert, a plate and utensils.

 

PLANT SALE: The annual Ford City Garden Club plant sale will be from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday, June 7, at the Ford City Public Library, 1136 Fourth Ave. Plants for sale include perennials, annuals and herbs. There will be a 50-50 raffle and a silent auction. All proceeds benefit the club’s gardening projects. Call (724) 763-2619 with questions.

 

DINNER: A turkey dinner to benefit Jan and John Bain will be held from 5 to 7:30 p.m. Saturday, May 31, at Homer City United Methodist Church, Main and Church streets. The dinner is $10 for adults, $4 for children ages 5 to 12, and free for children younger than 5. Dinner includes roast turkey, mashed potatoes with gravy, stuffing, a vegetable, cranberry salad, a beverage and dessert.

 

BANANA BREAD SALE: The Chestnut Hills Social Center, 26 Heybert Drive, Blairsville, will be taking orders for banana bread now through Wednesday. Place your order today. A mini loaf of banana bread will be $1.25. To order, call (724) 459-5251.
