by The Associated Press on April 15, 2013 9:00 AM

DALLAS — Former President George W. Bush has become a grandfather.

His twin daughter Jenna Bush Hager gave birth to her first child, a daughter, on Saturday night in New York City.

The former president announced the birth in a statement Sunday. The baby’s name is Margaret Laura “Mila” Hager.

Jenna Bush Hager is a contributing correspondent for the “Today” show.

She’s married to Henry Hager.

The former president says the baby was named for her grandmothers.

He says he and former first lady Laura Bush met their “beautiful granddaughter today,” adding, “Jenna and Mila are healthy. And our family is elated.”

This is a big month for the family. The George W. Bush Presidential Center will be dedicated April 25 on the campus of Southern Methodist University in Dallas.

SOURFRIERE, St. Lucia — A former top government official in St. Lucia says actor Matt Damon and his wife, Luciana Barroso, are renewing their wedding vows of eight years with a lavish party on the eastern Caribbean island.

The party is being held at the Sugar Beach resort with an invitation list including George Clooney, Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie and Ben Affleck.

A former Cabinet minister and current CEO of a private company that oversees economic development in Soufriere says the party will help boost the island’s weak economy. Walter Francois of Soufriere Regional Development Foundation said Saturday, however, that people including fishermen and others not allowed near the hotel’s beach for security reasons should be reimbursed.

LOS ANGELES — Authorities say comedian Kevin Hart was arrested on suspicion of drunken driving after his black Mercedes nearly collided with a tanker trunk on a Southern California freeway.

California Highway Patrol Officer Ed Jacobs said Hart appeared intoxicated when he was pulled over before dawn Sunday on Highway 101 in Los Angeles.

Hart failed a field sobriety test and was booked for misdemeanor DUI. He was released Sunday afternoon after payment of a $5,000 bond.

Jacobs says the Mercedes was being driven erratically at over 90 mph and nearly slammed into a gas tanker.

A female passenger in Hart’s car was sent home in a taxi. Hart starred in the 2011 stand-up special “Laugh At My Pain” and has appeared in TV’s “Undeclared” and in several movies. A call to a spokesperson for Hart was not immediately returned.

HONG KONG — The cop thriller “Cold War” got a red-hot reception at the Hong Kong Film Awards.

The film starring Aaron Kwok and Tony Leung Ka Fai was named best film and overall won nine trophies out of its 12 nominations. The detective film “The Bullet Vanishes” also had 12 nominations but went home empty-handed Saturday night. Leung won his fourth best actor trophy. He said he wanted to share the award with “Cold War” producer Bill Kong, who “single-handedly made the film possible.”

Miriam Yeung claimed her first best actress award for “Love in the Buff.” She admitted backstage she had been nervous accepting the trophy and forgot to thank her co-star Shawn Yue while on stage.

Yeung praised him for an excellent performance that helped her get into character.
