The Indiana Players are presenting “Oedipus the King” at 7:30 p.m. today and Saturday and at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at the Philadelphia Street Playhouse, 725 Philadelphia St., Indiana.

“Oedipus” is an ancient story adapted over the millennia, now being brought to life. Don’t worry about seeing a stuffy old play — this ancient classic has been updated to be exciting and accessible for modern audiences.

From left are Katrina Kayden as the messenger, David Bell as Teiresias, Faith Zuzek as a shepherd, Laura Thomas as Jacosta, Zach Merritt as Oedipus, Bill Herring as Creon and chorus members Laurance Nakrosis, Shane Engelmann and Athena Nakrosis.
