Bernie Wilke, who served as an artist-in-residence at Apollo-Ridge through Indiana University of Pennsylvania’s Artspath program, dedicated a mural recently at Apollo-Ridge Middle School.

The mural was a collaboration between various teachers and students, and examines the historical, economic, industrial, scientific and artistic aspects of the Kiski River in the Apollo area.

It is titled “Soul of a River.”
