Construction continued on a bridge replacement project over Brush Creek just east of Brush Valley on Wednesday. The existing bridge on Route 56 was deemed structurally deficient and will be replaced with a two-lane concrete box culvert.

The $2.8 million project is being done by Charles J. Merlo Inc., of Cambria County.

Construction began in February and is expected to be completed by May of next year.
