Community church events announced

Chicken and holupki dinner

Christ Our Savior Orthodox Church, on the corner of Tanoma Road and Route 286 East, Rayne Township, will hold a chicken and holupki dinner from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Sunday.

The cost is $10 for adults and $3 for children ages 5 to 12. Children 4 and younger eat for free.

Everyone is welcome. There will also be a fast takeout line.

Hymn sing

NORTHERN CAMBRIA — The Indiana/Cambria County Hymn and Gospel Sing will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the Garman Church of God, 1935 Moss Creek Road, Northern Cambria. Come to sing, come to listen. Everyone is welcome.

‘Going Deep’ conference

CHERRY TREE — Kolt Barber will be the special guest speaker at the “Going Deep” conference at 10:30 a.m. and 6 p.m. Sunday and 7 p.m. Monday through Wednesday at Kinport Assembly of God, Route 240, Cherry Tree.

Fashion show

PUNXSUTAWNEY — The Church of the Resurrection, 349 Morris St., Clymer, and First Commonwealth Bank are co-hosting a fashion show at the Punxsutawney Country Club Sunday. Doors open at 1 p.m. and the show will start at 2 p.m.

This new fundraiser for the parish includes a catered sit-down luncheon and a fashion show sponsored by Peebles, with models being mothers and daughters from each of the five parish sites.

There will also be a variety of baskets to be raffled out, each worth between $50 and $200, with one overnight package. Registration forms are available by calling Joann Stibrik at (724) 254-3659 or Leigh Shubra at (724) 254-3041, and should be submitted to Shubra at the Clymer church office no later than noon on Monday.

Revival services

Evangelist David Barker, also known as “Preacherman,” will return to Calvary Bible Church for revival services Sunday through Wednesday at the church, 2712 Pine Vale Road in Grant Township, between Deckers Point and Rochester Mills.

He will bring messages from the Book of Revelation and about the subject of prayer. Services will be held at 10 and 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. Sunday and 7 p.m. Monday through Wednesday. A fellowship time will follow the evening service with light refreshments served.

Sunday concerts

ROBINSON — The Robinson Church of the Brethren will hold gospel and contemporary Christian music concerts at 6 p.m. Sundays at the church, High Street, Robinson. The schedule is as follows:

• Sunday, Country and gospel, Steel City Quartet

• July 13, Contemporary Christian quartet, OneVoice, and the gospel duet Abraham’s Promise

• Sept 21, Southern gospel music, CrossOver
