Crosses planted at Graystone Presbyterian

on April 28, 2013 4:00 AM

Youth members of Graystone Presbyterian Church planted 360 crosses Saturday at the church for a 30 Hour Famine event. The 360 crosses represent the number of children who die of preventable hunger-related issues worldwide every 20 minutes. Members solicited sponsors for the event, and funds benefited World Vision for food, clean water, shelter and education for children in Third World countries.

Members also fasted for 30 hours for the event. From left are Liz King, 17; Joe Wilson, 13; Quinn Smith, 14; Karynn Davis, 18; and Payton Smith, 16, all of Indiana.

To donate, send a check to World Vision, Graystone Presbyterian Church, 640 Church St., Indiana, PA 15701.
