Knitters and crocheters are needed to help keep those in Indiana County warm this winter.

Hats, scarves, mittens, sweaters and afghans are needed. Items can be dropped off at Yarns yarn shop, 1136 Philadelphia St., from noon to 4 p.m. Wednesday, Friday and Saturday and from noon to 8 p.m. Thursday. Call (724) 349-3240 for more information.

Items will be donated to ICCAP for distribution to those in need.

This is the fifth year for the warm-up program. Last year, more than 100 items were donated.

The drive begins Oct. 1 and continues all winter.

A gift basket will be raffled off to those who donate items. Participants will receive one raffle ticket per item donated from Oct. 1 through Nov. 16, when the winner will be drawn.
