Indiana, PA - Indiana County

EXTRA SECURITY

by By JAMES J. NESTOR/Gazette on May 18, 2013 10:49 AM

Indiana County Sheriff Robert Fyock scanned student Patrick Hunter with a metal detector Friday at Indiana Senior High School at the Grand March prior to the prom as Audrey Stapleton stood nearby.

Extra security measures were enacted after someone left a bomb threat in connection to the prom in a graffiti message that was discovered May 3 in a school bathroom.

Anyone who entered the school Friday was subject to screening, and bags were tagged and secured by parent chaperones. No incidents were reported.
