on November 01, 2013 10:50 AM

Yarnick's Farm, 155 Thomas Covered Bridge Road, Armstrong Township, showed its true charm to the students at Indiana Area Senior High School recently by offering an “Autism Friendly” haunted house.

The students are reading a chapter book about a haunted house. This community-based instruction trip allowed the students to make connections to the book.

The following adaptations were made to the haunted house — no strobe lights, no loud noises and the characters did not jump out. The students also visited the corn maze and enjoyed a hayride to the pumpkin patch. (Submitted photo)
