Friends of Parks plans landscaping program

Friends of the Parks will present “How to Build a Native Landscape” on June 9 at 2 p.m. on the Ed Donley property along Five Points Road.

The tour includes a bog garden, two ponds, and a meadow with native flowers and grasses. The diverse wildlife that flourishes in this setting includes frogs, birds, butterflies and dragonflies.

The program will explain techniques to develop wildlife-friendly features for your own landscape. Native plants will be offered to the participants.
