on April 21, 2013 2:01 AM

Matthew Ruffner, a chief warrant officer in the Army, was buried with full military honors Saturday in Burnside Cemetery.

Ruffner, 34, was killed April 9 while serving in Afghanistan. He was the son of Charles and Diane Ruffner, of Glen Campbell.

Burnside residents lined Main Street to bid farewell as a hearse carrying the soldier’s body made its way to the cemetery after a funeral in Punxsutawney. He was a 2003 graduate of Indiana University of Pennsylvania.
