Hand-painted chairs are being auctioned off as a fundraiser at the Indiana Free Library.

Each is inspired by a book and was painted by art majors from Indiana University of Pennsylvania in the artistic style of the era.

Standing by the chairs are Rachel Cribbs, 3, left, and Harlan Vick, 2. Rachel is the daughter of Stephanie and Jeff Cribbs, of Indiana; Harlan is the son of Penny and Brandon Vick, of Indiana.

Chief Photographer Tom Peel has been photographing events in the county since 1966. He started with the Gazette while in high school and then came on board full-time in 1969.
