by on May 17, 2014 10:59 AM

Bill Retzer, from Williams and Williams Line Painting in Fenelton, removed the paint for the diagonal crosswalk Friday at Seventh and Philadelphia streets in Indiana.

Cory Trudgen, center, and Bill Fleming, from M&B Services in Clarion, directed traffic around the work area.

Pedestrians are no longer permitted to cross the intersection diagonally as part of an effort to prevent traffic backups on Philadelphia Street. (Tom Peel/Gazette photo)
