Program to highlight energy

Friends of the Parks, in cooperation with the Evergreen Conservancy, will present a program on renewable energy projects at the Tanoma Wetlands at 10 a.m. Saturday. The site is located on Rayne Church Road, just off Tanoma Road in Rayne Township.

Dan Boone of the Conservancy will explain how various renewable energy components at the site work including wind, solar and water. Participants will also learn how a passive treatment system works to treat acid mine water.
