The owners of the newly remodeled Pizza House had a soft opening Tuesday, doling out free food to invited guests. It opened to the public Thursday.

White Township businessman Tom Zaucha bought the eatery earlier this year from John Tsiris, who had owned it for more than 40 years.

The restaurant still specializes in pizza and soup but has added a hot dog shop and now has a deck with outdoor seating.

Chief Photographer Tom Peel has been photographing events in the county since 1966. He started with the Gazette while in high school and then came on board full-time in 1969. So if you do something good, bad or just interesting, he will most likely be there to take your picture. Tom can be reached at tpeel@indianagazette.net or 724-465-5555 ext. 275.
