RIBBON-CUTTING

A ceremonial ribbon was cut Wednesday at the Armstrong Township building for the Indiana County Municipal Services Authority’s Water Renovation 12 project.

WR 12 was a $9.3 million project that extended waterlines to Tunnelton, Prymak Road, Parkwood and the airport-Hood School loop.

Participating in the ribbon-cutting were, from left, Tom Spring, ICMSA board member; Joe Trimarchi, of First Commonwealth Bank, which assisted with project funding; Bob Kunkle, ICMSA chairman; Glen Carnahan, Armstrong Township supervisor; Bernie Lockard, ICMSA board member; Rodger George, Armstrong Township supervisor; state Sen. Don White, R-Indiana; Monica Beltowski, ICMSA board member; John Bonya, ICMSA solicitor; Paul Marchetti, PENNVEST executive director; Larry Gasparrato,

PENNVEST loan specialist; Mike Duffalo, ICMSA executive director; Bill Hamilton, a resident who circulated a petition requesting the waterline extension; and Tom Cavalier, ICMSA water superintendent.
