Students participated in a mock wreck Monday at Penns Manor High School and watched rescuers pull a victim from a vehicle.

The program was the senior project of Devin McClain, who organized the event to raise awareness of the dangers of drinking and driving for the coming prom season.

Six students participated in the mock wreck, along with Pennsylvania State Police, Citizens’ Ambulance, the Indiana County Coroner’s office and local fire departments.



Chief Photographer Tom Peel has been photographing events in the county since 1966. He started with the Gazette while in high school and then came on board full-time in 1969.
