Garrett Donahue, a kindergartner at Homer-Center Elementary School, took his turn Friday during Slugfest, a fundraiser benefiting the Miracle Field now under construction at the YMCA in White Township.

Homer-Center students got pledges for hitting five pitches or balls off a tee. They raised $2,006.
