Mason Ninzehelter, a junior at Indiana University of Pennsylvania from Reading, placed quarters along the curb on Philadelphia Street as part of the Quarter Mile through Alpha Xi Delta sorority, of which she is a member.

Standing are Allison Conley, a senior and member of Theta Phi Alpha from Greensburg, and Molly Plank, a senior and member of Alpha Xi Delta from Littlestown.

Money raised through the event Wednesday will benefit Autism Speaks, which raises awareness of and funds autism research. (Tom Peel/Gazette photo)
