STREETSCAPE GROUNDBREAKING

Representatives of organizations involved in the next phase of Indiana’s streetscape enhancement project held a ceremonial ribbon cutting Tuesday in front of the Vinegar Hill Steps along Water Street.

Left to right are Indiana County Commissioner Rodney Ruddock; Jess Bowman, of Downtown Indiana Inc.; Indiana Mayor George Hood; Hastie Kinter, chairwoman of Renaissance Indiana; Sen. Don White; Bill Simmons, Indiana councilman; Rep. Dave Reed; Commissioner Dave Frick; Doug Vidic, of Palo Inc. general contractors, Clarion; Commissioner Patricia Evanko; Braun Gourley, of M&B Services, Clarion; Robin Gorman, representing Indiana University of Pennsylvania; Josh Rosenberger, representing downtown businesses; and Heather Reed, representing Indiana Regional Medical Center.

Hastie Kinter, a board member for Downtown Indiana, spoke Tuesday at Twisted Jimmy’s about plans for North Seventh Street at a ribbon-cutting and groundbreaking ceremony.
