Substation damaged

REA Energy Cooperative Inc. has announced that the Belsano substation was damaged as the result of a vehicle accident Thursday, causing a service interruption.

Consumers normally served by this substation are currently receiving power from the Strongstown substation until further notice. REA Energy is investigating the damage sustained and reconstructing the Belsano substation.

REA is a full-service distribution electric cooperative, serving more than 22,000 members in Armstrong, Blair, Cambria, Clearfield, Indiana, Jefferson and Westmoreland counties.
