Chicken and biscuit dinner

PUNXSUTAWNEY — The First Baptist Church, East Union Street, Punxsutawney, will hold a chicken and biscuit dinner from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. (or until sold out) Friday.

The menu includes the main course, as well as a super salad bar with approximately 30 ingredients, vegetable, beverage, bread and dessert. Donation is $8 per person. Takeout is available.

Flea market

CHERRY TREE — The Kinport Assembly of God, Route 240, Cherry Tree, will hold a community flea market from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. April 26. Inside tables/spaces are available for $10 each, and outside tables/spaces are available for $5 each. Gently used items are also being accepted for the sale. Turkey dinner

The Cochran’s Mill Church, 2571 Garretts Run Road (near the Burrell Township fire hall), will hold a turkey dinner beginning at 4 p.m. on April 26.

The cost is $9 for adults, $4.50 for children ages 6 to 12 and free for children age 5 and younger. Takeout is available for 50 cents extra. Call (724) 842-2291 or (724) 354-2010 with questions.

The Pine Grove Church of God, located on Route 240 between Uniontown and Cookport, will hold a chicken and biscuit dinner from 3 to 7 p.m. April 26. The cost is $6.50 for adults, $3.50 for children from school age to 12. Preschool-aged children eat for free. Proceeds benefit the Pine Grove Church choir.

Roast beef dinner

MARION CENTER — A roast beef dinner will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. April 26 at Marion Center Presbyterian Church. The cost is $8 for adults and $4 for children ages 6 to 12. Children 5 and younger eat for free. Takeout is available at no extra cost. Proceeds benefit the church mission and maintenance funds.

Spaghetti dinners

Sovereign Grace Church, 921 Hospital Road, White Township, will be holding a spaghetti dinner from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at the church. Proceeds will benefit three families who are hosting orphans from Eastern Europe this summer.

The cost is $7 for adults and $4 for children ages 5 and older. Children younger than 5 eat for free. Tickets are available in advance at The Artists Hand Gallery, 732 Philadelphia St., Indiana, or Speedy Furniture, 3100 Oakland Ave., White Township.

Tickets will also be sold at the door at $9 for adults and $5 for children ages 5 and older.

RURAL VALLEY — A spaghetti dinner will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. April 26 at the Rural Valley Fire Hall. The cost is $8 for adults and $4 for children younger than 8. Takeout will be available for an additional 50 cents. Proceeds benefit the youth group of St. Paul Congregational Church, just off Margaret Road, and its mission trip to North Carolina in July.

The Bethel Presbyterian Church, 1470 Bethel Church Road, Indiana, will hold an all-you-can-eat spaghetti dinner from 4 to 7 p.m. April 26. The cost is $8 for adults and $3 for children ages 5 to 12. Children younger than 5 eat for free. Tickets available in advance or at the door. Carryout is also available.

LEWISVILLE — Ebenezer Presbyterian Church, Lewisville, will hold an all-you-can-eat spaghetti dinner from 12:30 to 2 p.m. April 27. The cost is $7 per person. Takeouts are available. Proceeds benefit the Youth Fund.

Blessing of the bikes

BLAIRSVILLE — Blairsville Free Methodist Church and the Indiana County Alliance of Bikers Aimed Toward Education are sponsoring the annual Blessing of the Bikes at 1 p.m. April 27 at the Blairsville Community Center, 101 E. North Lane, Blairsville.

Free concert

Calvary Evangelical Free Church, 100 Ben Franklin Road South, White Township, will host a free concert featuring The Grey Havens, at 6:45 p.m. April 30. Led by former “American Idol” contestant Dave Radford and his wife, Licia, from Chicago, they will share their brand of indie/folk Christian music. Men’s game plan

DAYTON — The All In Men’s Ministry of Christian Sports International will appear from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. May 3 at Dayton United Methodist Church.

There will be a life-challenging game plan for each man’s journey, “Men Locking Arms,” featuring speaker Leo Wisniewski and master of ceremonies Dennis Bowman. The cost is $20 with breakfast provided. Reservations are required. For more information or reservations, call (814) 257-8951.

Pennsylvania Deutsch buffet

PENN RUN — The Penn Run Christian Outreach Center, 75 Grace Church Road, Penn Run, will hold a Pennsylvania Deutsch chicken buffet from 4 to 7 p.m. May 3. The cost is $8 for adults and $6 for children ages 3 to 11. Children younger than 3 eat for free.

CLYMER — St. Michael’s Orthodox Church, 465 Morris St., Clymer, will hold a chicken holupki dinner from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on May 4 at the church. The cost is $10 for adults and $5 for children ages 4 to 12. Children younger than 4 eat for free. Takeout is available.

Indoor yard sale

PENN RUN — The Penn Run Christian Outreach Center, 75 Grace Church Road, Penn Run, will be holding an indoor yard sale from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. June 7.
