Candy Easter egg sale

BLAIRSVILLE — The Hopewell United Methodist Women, Blairsville, are currently selling their homemade candy Easter eggs. There are four kinds available: peanut butter, maple nut, coconut and fruit and nut. They are available in either half-pound or 1-pound and milk chocolate or white chocolate. Basement sale

SAGAMORE — The Community Bible Church of Sagamore, on Route 210, will hold a basement sale until 4 p.m. today. There will be something for everyone and food will be available.

Spring yard sale

STARFORD — The Pine Flats Church of God will hold a spring yard sale from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. today at the Morning Star Fellowship Hall, Route 286, Starford.

A wide variety of new and used items will be available including all sizes of clothing, from infants to adult plus sizes. There also will be a bake sale featuring pies, cakes, cookies, breads, rolls, candy and nut rolls. Soups also will be available by the quart.

Spaghetti dinner

TRADE CITY — A spaghetti dinner will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. today at Mt. Zion Lutheran Church, Trade City. The cost is $8 for adults and $4 for children 12 and younger. Takeout will be available.

Proceeds benefit the Crosstown Ministry Food Bank at Woodland Avenue United Methodist Church, Punxsutawney, and Mt. Zion’s building fund. Tickets can be purchased in advance from a member or at the door.

Spring craft show

The Crafty Christians Spring Fair will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. today at the Purchase Line United Methodist Church.

Vendors will be selling handmade items, baked goods, plants and homemade candy by the PLUM youth group. Lunch will be served in the activity social room.

Easter cantata

The Pine Grove Church of God, located on Route 240 between Uniontown and Cookport, will hold a community Easter cantata at 7 p.m. today. Everyone is welcome to attend.

Easter musicals

HOMER CITY — The Homer City Church of the Nazarene, Route 119, Homer City, will present the Easter musical “Behold the Cross of Christ: Where Love and Mercy Meet,” by Marty Parks, at 6 p.m. Sunday.

Revival services

CLYMER — Evangelistic meetings with Glen “Shorty” Shank will be held Sunday through Wednesday at Calvary Baptist Church, Route 286, 2 miles east of Clymer.

Sunday services are at 10:45 a.m. and 6 p.m. Monday through Wednesday services are at 7:30 p.m. Children’s meetings and nursery will be available.

Free concert

The Indiana Wesleyan Methodist Church will present a free concert by the Symphonic Wind and String Ensemble of God’s Bible School & College, Cincinnati, at 7:30 p.m. Monday, in the Kovalchick Convention and Athletic Complex, 711 Pratt Drive, White Township.

Revival meeting

SAGAMORE — A Revival Meeting continues at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Holiness Gospel Center, Sagamore. People are being healed, and lives are being changed.

Lenten services

The Shannock Valley Ministerium will hold community Lenten services at 7 p.m. Wednesday at St. Paul Congregational Church.

The theme is “Jesus Says ‘I Am’ in the Gospel of John.” The speaker will be Dallas Silvis, presenting “A King.”

Easter egg hunt

COWANSHANNOCK — The Shannock Valley Ministerium will hold an Easter egg hunt at 10 a.m. Friday at the New Hope Church of God, 9500 State Route 85, Cowanshannock.

Easter Labyrinth

COMMODORE — The Purchase Line United Methodist Church, 17107 Route 286 East, welcomes visitors to an Easter Labyrinth from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday through Friday.

A soup and salad luncheon will be held from noon to 2 p.m. Wednesday.

A guided tour with drama scenes of Easter, a craft for the children and a free pancake and sausage breakfast will be offered from 8 to 11 a.m. on April 19.

Chicken and biscuit dinner

PUNXSUTAWNEY — The First Baptist Church, East Union Street, Punxsutawney, will hold a chicken and biscuit dinner from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. (or until sold out) on April 25.

The menu includes the main course, as well as a super salad bar with approximately 30 ingredients, vegetable, beverage, bread and dessert. Donation is $8 per person. Takeout is available. Proceeds benefit church mission projects. For details, call Charlotte Fye at (814) 938-6928.

Flea market

CHERRY TREE — The Kinport Assembly of God, Route 240, Cherry Tree, will hold a community flea market from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. April 26.

Inside tables/spaces are available for $10 each, and outside tables/spaces are available for $5 each. Gently used items are also being accepted for the sale. All proceeds benefit the ministry building fund.

The Cochran’s Mill Church, 2571 Garretts Run Road (near the Burrell Township fire hall), will hold a turkey dinner beginning at 4 p.m. on April 26.

MARION CENTER — A roast beef dinner will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. April 26 at Marion Center Presbyterian Church. The cost is $8 for adults and $4 for children ages 6 to 12. Children 5 and younger eat for free. Takeout is available at no extra cost. Proceeds benefit the church mission and maintenance funds.

Spaghetti dinners

Sovereign Grace Church, 921 Hospital Road, White Township, will be holding a spaghetti dinner from 4 to 7 p.m. April 25 at the church. Proceeds will benefit three families who are hosting orphans from Eastern Europe this summer.

Cost is $7 for adults and $4 for children ages 5 and older. Children younger than 5 eat for free. Tickets are available in advance at The Artists Hand Gallery, 732 Philadelphia St., Indiana, or Speedy Furniture, 3100 Oakland Ave., White Township.

Tickets will also be sold at the door at $9 for adults and $5 for children ages 5 and older.

RURAL VALLEY — A spaghetti dinner will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. April 26 at the Rural Valley Fire Hall. The cost is $8 for adults and $4 for children younger than 8. Takeout will be available for an additional 50 cents. Proceeds benefit the youth group of St. Paul Congregational Church, just off Margaret Road, and its mission trip to North Carolina in July.

Blessing of the bikes

BLAIRSVILLE — Blairsville Free Methodist Church and the Indiana County Alliance of Bikers Aimed Toward Education are sponsoring the annual Blessing of the Bikes at 1 p.m. April 27 at the Blairsville Community Center, 101 E. North Lane, Blairsville.

Men’s game plan

DAYTON — The All In Men’s Ministry of Christian Sports International will appear from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. May 3 at Dayton United Methodist Church.
