Upcoming community events announced
MEETING: The Indiana Garden Club will have its monthly meeting at The Artists Hand Gallery at 7 p.m. Monday.
The program will be presented by Barb Rosenberg, Cambria County Master Gardener, on the topic “Lies My Seed Catalog Told Me.” Friends are welcome. There are refreshments at every meeting.
RIDE & DINE: The second annual Ride & Dine for Shelter will be held June 1, rain or shine.
All proceeds will benefit Family Promise, a ministry that provides shelter and other services to homeless families.
Admission is $25 for adults and $15 for children 12 and under. Dinner for children under 6 is free. The registration fee covers a four-course meal, T-shirt, live music and eligibility for a number of prize drawings.
Join on your motorcycle, antique or sports car, or even your family’s minivan. The Ride & Dine will start and finish at Faith Lutheran Church, New Florence.

HEALTH FAIR: A Health and Wellness Fair will be held from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. April 26 at DRIVE Personal Fitness in the Atrium Building, 665 Philadelphia St., Indiana.
Tickets are $10 at the door. Proceeds will support Autism Speaks. The fair will offer health and wellness presentations, chair massages, food and shake samples, baked goods, skin and beauty product samples, spinal assessments and foot scans, blood pressure screenings, yoga and Pilates demonstrations, and exercise demonstrations.
Lunch will be provided by The Pizza House.
Free parking is available in the private lot behind the Atrium.

MUSIC SHOWCASE: East Pike and Eisenhower Elementary Schools will present their Spring Music Showcase at 7 p.m. May 20 in the auditorium at Indiana Area Junior High School.

CORNHOLE TOURNAMENT: The American Cancer Society Relay for Life will hold a cornhole tournament benefit beginning at 2 p.m. April 26 at Pikel’s BP Inn, Home.
Registration will begin at 1 p.m. at the bar or by calling Steve at (724) 840-6153. Registration is $20 per two-person team. Participants must be 21 or older to participate.
This will be a double-elimination tournament. All winners’ bracket games will be the best-of-three; losers’ bracket games will be sudden death, one game only. Cash prizes will be awarded to the top teams.
