by on April 09, 2014 10:50 AM

A large hickory tree about 80 feet tall fell Tuesday in the backyard of 1240 Oak St. in Indiana as a result of rain and high winds the night before.

The tree stood about 150 feet from a rare American elm tree that was discovered over the summer. (Tom Peel/Gazette photo)
