West Wheatfield Township plans cleanup day

ROBINSON — The West Wheatfield Township Board of Supervisors has announced that West Wheatfield Township Cleanup Day will be held from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 20.

There will be a charge for automobile tires of $2 each (no tires on rims will be accepted).

No hazardous materials will be accepted. Due to new regulations, the following items will not be accepted: televisions, computers, computer accessories and all electronic items.

Those items must be taken to the recycling center in Homer City.

All residents will be asked to show proof of residency. Residents will be asked to unload their own vehicles and place items in the proper Dumpster.

Any person wishing to volunteer to sign in and direct people to the correct Dumpster is asked to call the township office at (724) 676-4835 between 7 a.m. and 3 p.m. no later than Sept. 12.
