Jake Barr, a student from Penns Manor, worked to identify dragonfly nymphs Wednesday as his team checked specimens at the aquatic ecology station at the 27th annual Envirothon at Blue Spruce Park near Ernest.

The Indiana County Conservation District hosted 75 students from Marion Center, Penns Manor, Saltsburg and United high schools for the event, where teams of five rotated through competition stations.
