Indoor archery league posts weekly winners

CLYMER — Jim Craig and Nichole Pavelchick topped the individual shooters, and Body Shots took the team honors in the fourth week of competition in the RC Indoor Archery Winter League.

Craig recorded a 251 to top the men’s shooters, and Pavelchick shot a 241 to top the women’s ranks.

The Body Shots team consists of Rob Buterbaugh, Brad Buterbaugh, Jerod Nichol and Jeff Gromley.

In the overall standings, Jared Mason leads the way with an 1,187. He is followed by Scott Douglas at 1,179 and Ken Misko at 1,177.

In the team standings, Body Shots is first at 5,253.8. The Death By Lethal Injection team of Ken Misko, Ryan Hickok, Greg Buterbaugh and Ray Hickok is second at 5,245.7. The Autumn Assassins team of Chris Goss, Brendt Goss, Dave Mason and Jeremy Detwiler is third at 5,243.9.

Fly-tying event scheduled at Elks

The Ken Sink Chapter of Trout Unlimited will hold a fly-tying round-robin demonstration at 7 p.m. today at the Indiana Elks.

The demonstration is open to the public and there is no fee.

Sinnemahoning club to hold coyote hunt

SINNEMAHONING — The Sinnemahoning Sportsmen’s Club will hold its ninth annual coyote hunt on Friday through Sunday.

The hunting area consists of five states: Pennsylvania, New York, Maryland, Ohio and Virginia.

All participants must be a member of the club. Participants can apply for membership at the time of registration.

The fee is $12. There is an additional $5 fee to register for the heaviest female coyote.

Registration can be completed at the club on Thursday from 6 p.m. to midnight.

Hunter-trapper classes scheduled

SHELOCTA — A hunter-trapper education class will be held at the Shelocta Sportsmen’s Club from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 23.

Prior to attending a class, participants must complete the online independent study.

Registration and the online study are available at www.state.pa.us.

The class is limited to 50 participants, and they must be 11 or older.

• MARION CENTER — A class will be held from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, March 22, at Marion Center Park Hall.

The class is limited to 45 participants, and they must be 11 or older.
