HIGH SCHOOL GIRLS' BASKETBALL: Penns Manor caps trying season with win

KENWOOD — Penns Manor used big runs at the ends of the second and fourth quarters to outlast United, 40-36, in a Heritage Conference girls’ basketball game Monday.

Sarah DaBella scored 11 points to pace the Comets.

United’s Eden Bloom led all scorers with 19 points.

Penns Manor concluded its season with an overall record of 6-16 and a conference mark of 4-12.

United (13-9, 10-6), the No. 4 seed in the District 6 Class A playoffs, will face fifth-seeded Bishop Carroll in the first round at a date to be announced.
