HIGH SCHOOL GIRLS' BASKETBALL ROUNDUP: BLAIRSVILLE 71, NORTHERN CAMBRIA 14

BLAIRSVILLE 71, NORTHERN CAMBRIA 14: Blairsville built a 41-point halftime lead and scored its 17th straight win by routing visiting Northern Cambria in a Heritage Conference game.

Laurel O’Barto paced Blairsville with game highs of 16 points and seven assists. Chelsey Koren scored 14 points, Nicole Boyer and Corrine Moore added 10 points apiece, Mikala Misleany grabbed a game-high 10 rebounds, and Kia Clayton had eight boards.

Katie Baum, Allison Sedlock and Breanna Phillips scored four points apiece for the Colts.

Blairsville (18-1, 13-0) travels to Saltsburg on Monday, and Northern Cambria plays host to Homer-Center on Tuesday.

MARION CENTER 59, LIGONIER VALLEY 35: Kearsten Brocious posted a double-double, two other Marion Center players reached double figures in scoring, and the Stingers thrashed host Ligonier Valley in a Heritage Conference game.

Brocious sank three 3-pointers and collected game highs of 17 points and 11 rebounds. Chantel Glasser added 16 points and eight rebounds, Morgan Glasser tacked on 10 rebounds and a game-best five steals, and Jenny Irvin dished out a game-high seven assists.

Taylor Rudnik scored 12 points to pace the Rams.

Ligonier Valley (10-8, 8-4) plays host to Jeannette on Monday, and Marion Center (17-3, 13-1) travels to United on Tuesday.

APOLLO-RIDGE 51, JEANNETTE 38: Apollo-Ridge jumped on Jeannette early and allowed just two Jayhawks to score more than two points en route to a win in a WPIAL non-section game in Spring Church.

The Vikings took a seven-point lead in the first quarter, extended it to nine by halftime and stretched it to 12 in the third quarter.

Julia DeMeno scored 15 points to lead Apollo-Ridge. Ashley Emminger and Megan Bonelli scored nine points apiece.

Apollo-Ridge (13-7, 4-6) travels to Penns Manor on Monday.
