KITTANNING 6, INDIANA 5: Indiana charged back to forge a tie, but lost to Kittanning in eight innings in a WPIAL Section 5-AAA game at the Indiana Little League Complex.

Adrian Smith and Brooke Ruffner cracked two doubles apiece for the Indians, who fell behind 5-0, but tied the score at 5 in the sixth inning.

Taylor Thomas and Morgan Doolin added a double each. Doolin and Dana Piper each went 2-for-4.

Smith struck out 15 and walked six in eight innings, but took the loss.

Indiana (2-10, 1-7) travels to Mars today.

BLAIRSVILLE 15, NORTHERN CAMBRIA 0: Host Blairsville put away Northern Cambria in a Heritage Conference game shortened to four innings by the mercy rule.

Abbie Okopal paced the Bobcats’ offense with three hits, including a home run and a double, and two RBIs. Emilie Okopal and Emily Small had a double each, and Abby Peace drove in three runs.

Emilie Okopal struck out five and walked one in four innings for the win.

Lakyn Fornari struck out two and walked three, taking the loss for Northern Cambria.

Blairsville (8-1, 8-1) plays host to Penns Manor today. Northern Cambria (3-5, 3-4) visits Ligonier Valley next Thursday.
