HIGH SCHOOL SWIMMING: Stingrays swept at Huntingdon
HUNTINGDON — The Marion Center swimming teams were swept in a non-conference dual meet with Huntingdon on Monday.
The Marion Center boys’ team lost 103-40, and the Marion Center girls lost 94-63.
Kimberli Donaldson took first place in the 50 freestyle and met the qualifying standard for the District 6 meet with her time of 28.58 seconds.
Also claiming a first-place finish for the Stingrays was Robin Schultz, who won the 100 backstroke in 1 minute, 18.49 seconds. Morgan Tonkin added a second-place finish in the same race (1:22.91).
Donaldson added a second-place finish in the 200 individual medley (2:43.08) and Alexis Mouser in the 500 freestyle (8:03.90). Also, Brittany Gaston posted District 6 qualifying times in the 200 freestyle (2:21.53) and 100 freestyle (1:03.81).
On the boys’ side, Adam Gordish took first in the 50 freestyle (23.66) and also met the District 6 qualifying standard. Mitchell Gordish added a second-place finish in the 100 butterfly (1:17.79).
Marion Center visits Hollidaysburg on Wednesday.
