IUP: Crimson Hawks release men's basketball schedule

The IUP men’s basketball team is set to play the maximum 28 regular-season games, including a pair of two-game, early-season tournaments. IUP has 22 scheduled Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference contests and will welcome 16 schools to Indiana.

A yet-to-be-named four-team event will tip-off the season on Nov. 14-15, with IUP hosting Urbana and Johnson C. Smith. California will be the fourth team competing that weekend.

IUP will host West Virginia Wesleyan on Nov. 19 before the PSAC schedule gets underway Nov. 22 will a road contest at Seton Hill. The Crimson Hawks follow that up with a non-conference road game at Bowie State.

IUP will host its annual Indiana Regional Medical Center Classic the weekend after Thanksgiving, Nov. 29-30. The Crimson Hawks will play the University of the Sciences on Saturday and the College of Saint Rose on Sunday. Pitt Johnstown will also make the trip to the Kovalchick Convention and Athletic Complex to compete.

The Crimson Hawks play in five more games prior to winter break, hosting Mercyhurst (Dec. 3), Mansfield (Dec. 16) and Lock Haven (Dec. 17), while also traveling to Gannon (Dec. 6) and Bloomsburg (Dec. 20).

The second part of the season gets going with a road trip to PSAC East opponents East Stroudsburg (Jan. 3) and West Chester (Jan. 4) before returning home to host Cheyney (Dec. 7).

Second half home opponents also include Edinboro (Jan. 14), Pitt Johnstown (Jan. 21), Seton Hill (Jan. 31), California (Feb. 4), Gannon (Feb. 7), and Slippery Rock (Feb. 18), with the regular season finale coming against Clarion (Feb. 25).

The PSAC tournament is set to begin on Feb. 28. Quarterfinals will continue on March 3 with the semifinals and finals at the highest remaining seed in the West on March 6-7.

The Crimson Hawks’ exhibition schedule will be released in the coming week.
