IUP runner places seventh at NCAAs

ALLENDALE, Mich. — Krista Matsko, a senior on the Indiana University of Pennsylvania track and field team, placed seventh on Saturday in the 400-meter hurdles at the NCAA Division II championships at Grand Valley State University.

Matsko finished the race in 1 minute, 0.06 seconds, to become the first IUP female to earn All-America outdoors honors since 2010.

The reigning Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference champion in the event, Matsko placed third in her heat race and seventh overall.
