Sled hockey team wins national title

The Sitting Bulls disabled sled hockey team went undefeated in four games to win the championship in the Youth B Division at the USA Hockey National Disabled Hockey Festival at the New England Sports Center in Marlborough, Mass.

The team is comprised of disabled athletes from Cambria, Somerset, Indiana and Bedford counties.

Team members are, first row, from left, Nicholas Booth, Ethan Buchkovich, Harrison Burgess, Megan Ott, Lorenzo Favor, Brady Blough, Gregory Bartholomew, Cameron Nellis, Russell White and Zachary Popelish; and second row, assistant coach, Kyle Burgess, assistant coach Mark Popelish, head coach Mike Fitzgerald and team assistant Steve Bartholomew.
