Students in marksmanship training program
The newest members of the Indiana County Junior Marksmanship Training Unit entered the program recently.
Pictured are, from left, Bridger Blankenbicker, Daniel Nealen, Grace Blankenbicker, Lily Palfrey and Colton Kunkle.
They spent the first weeks learning firearm safety and proper gun handling, sight picture, breathing and trigger control. Next they will start on live fire, beginning with the prone position, followed by kneeling and standing. A new class is scheduled to begin Jan. 7.
Anyone interested in joining the class can contact Joseph Benamati by phone at (724) 479-8202, by email at email@example.com, or by visiting the unit’s booth at the Trauma in the Woods seminar at the Kovalchick Convention and Athletic Complex on Nov. 7. (Submitted photo)
