Lily Carone, a fifth-grader at St. Bernard Elementary School and daughter of Patrick and Stacy Carone, received the Overall Achievement Award from the Johnstown Figure Skating Club for the most points earned in all 2012 tests taken in the United States Figure Skating Association testing program.

Lily also received the Lower Freestyle Award for the most points scored for freestyle tests and the Ice Dance Award for the most points earned for ice dance. During the 2012 season, Lily passed Pre-Juvenile Free Skate, Novice Moves in the Field and the European Waltz, Ten Fox and Willow Waltz dances.

This year, Lily hopes to pass three Pre-Silver Dances and Junior Moves in the Field. She also plans to compete at State Games of America this summer in addition to other USFS competitions in York, Mount Lebanon, and Pittsburgh.

Lily has been testing since she was 8 years old and has passed 18 USFS tests.
