by The Indiana Gazette on June 20, 2013 10:30 AM

Cameron Allmendinger fired a one-hitter and Indiana Lions amassed 11 hits to thump Derry, 11-1, in an Indiana County Youth Legion baseball game that was shortened to six innings due to the mercy rule at Lions Field.

Allmendinger, who struck out five and walked eight, allowed just one hit, a single off the bat of Tristen Grimm in the top of the sixth inning. Allmendinger also singled, tripled and drove in a run.

Tommy Budash smacked a pair of singles for Indiana Lions.

Both teams play on the road Friday. Indiana Lions (8-4) travels to Marion Center, and Derry (4-8) heads to Clymer Legion.
